She loved it!

In my post on Monday of this week, I published a picture of Lexi's Dream, which is one of my fused bowls that Lexi described to me from a recent dream she had.

Last night, I presented the bowl to Lexi. She loved it! She said that it was even prettier than the one in her dream. It had more depth. The only thing it didn't have was real gold, which I truly don't know how to incorporate gold into glass...I can do silver or copper inclusions. And given the price of gold, that would be cost prohibitive. She saw how I worked at replicating the gold color she described with this lovely, almost lemon yellow transparent glass I used. I found it to be be awesome with most of my work, the Bullseye Glass palette works so well for me.

I also showed her Fallen Leaves, which she liked too. However, her favorite was the vision come to life, Lexi's Dream. As with all my work, I am truly happy when a piece finds its rightful home.

All that being said, I could tell how thrilled she was with this and how much she loved the colors of this bowl. It is my gift to her. It pales in comparison to all she has given to me as a mentor, friend, teacher, and sister.

Aspiring to be more as an artist and person. Happy creating all!

Well, Kathleen, I don't know what to say that hasn't already been commented on your last 2 blog posts apart from... did I ever tell you about my dream? I dreamt you made me a beautiful glass bowl that was like fallen leaves...!!!

You know I love your glass work and I particularly love that bowl. It reminds me of a wood I walk in that has a floor of multi-coloured leaves.

Keep up the glass work, you have a great talent.
Kristin :)

And you had doubts she would? I didn't. Everyone would love to have a piece of light and color formed with love with your hands and heart.

I am so thrilled and honored to have a Kathleen Krucoff piece of artwork in our home. I cannot describe how lucious this bowl is when the light shines through it. It picks up all my favorite colors. To be a gift from the heart from one of my favorite people in the world, well, it's a treasure, just as Kathleen's friendship and love is. I will cherish this always. Thank you, my friend, sister and inspiration--Lexi

What a beautiful piece of art and such a great dream and story to go along with it! I wish we could all have a "Lexi" and a "Kathleen" in our lives!

Thanks Shay!

Yes I wish everyone could have the partnership Lexi & I enjoy. After we met, she told me that when a person is ready, a teacher will appear. Clearly I was ready and most certainly she is more than a teacher.
