I follow a lot of blogs and have had an opportunity to get to know some of my fellow artists and bloggers through their works, their words, and even their Facebook pages. I want you to know that I value the friendships that we have established. I have learned so much from your generosity; sharing your artistic journeys, your growth, your trials and tribulations. I thank all of you for helping me to grow as a person and an artist. Those of you, who have left comments about my work and my artistic journey, I want you to know that you have helped me more than you may realize. Thank you.
As 2009 comes to a close, I thought I would share one of my discoveries. Another blogger, Christine Kane, has what I feel are tremendous insights. Her writing speaks to me and I hope it will speak to you too. She has such a positive way at looking at life's challenges. In 2007, she wrote about the Resolutions Revolution. She described a different approach to making positive changes in your life in the coming year. I would encourage you to visit her post on Resolutions Revolution and I hope that you will find her take on the subject of New Year's Resolutions beneficial. I have.
After you read Christine's post on New Year's Resolutions, this will make more sense, however I want to share that my touchstone word for 2010 is Aspire. I've already started to use it and I can tell you it works!
May 2010 hold wonderful opportunities and successes for all of you.
Until next time, aspire to be more as an artist and a person. I am.

Ah, Kathleen, I love this site, thank you! Abundance has been a priority word in my life for the past several months since i signed up for a Manifestation Workshop. I'm waiting and will keep it for a year after reading this blog.
Hi Robin!
Thank you, I look forward to hearing what your priority word, Abundance, produces for you in this coming year.
You are one of the artists and bloggers I had an opportunity to meet this year and I am grateful for that! I look forward to continuing to get to know you and follow where your work leads you.
~ Warmest regards, Kathleen
Thank you. I printed out a copy of the blog and will study the list of words. I think mine will be (or should be) "release." At some point I must have moved from collecting to hoarding--too much clutter.
I bookmarked the site--you're right, Christine has tremendous insights.
Happy New Year.
Thanks HW. I'm glad you find Christine's insights beneficial. That means a lot to me. Happy New Year to you too!
Hi Kathleen,
Hope you have a happy,healthy,safe
& prosperous New Year! I have not
forgotten the two of you, or the
elk. It will get done. I just miss
my son this time of year, and I
don't feel I write well because of
it. Thank you for the inspiration &
subtle encouragement. I have a lot
of works to complete as I have a
show coming this new year(maybe 2).
These reasons are mainly why you
haven't heard from me in a while.
Peace & take care,
Tom
Kathleen, I SO value the relationship we have nurtured through our words and works over the past year. I always look forward to your generous, thought-provoking comments and your inspiring blogs. Thanks for pointing me Christine's way. I love her writing and thoughts.
I have mentioned this on a couple other blogs, but thought I'd reiterate here. I haven't made New Year Resolutions in several years. I realized that the promises we make to ourselves while intoxicated with the holidays - both figuratively and literally - are too hard to follow when we come down from the season and reality sets in. So, I've always set goals as I need them.
But, in following Christine's theme, I will choose a word for myself. It must go in tandem with my theme of 2010 being "the year of the Don", so I choose the word - drum roll, please - ARRIVE.
When next we communicate it will be 2010. So let me say now, Happy New Year!
-Don
Hi Tom,
Thank you for your friendship. My heart aches for your loss of your son and when the time is right, you will be ready to work, write, create again in 2010. I'm so happy to hear you have upcoming shows. I wish you much success in 2010.
Hello Don my dear friend,
I too value our friendship that has grown this past year. Your insights and thoughts have inspired me too. Your touchstone word, Arrive is a great one and I know it will contribute to your success in 2010.
Happy New Year to you. :)
Wow, Kathleen, you are so right! I love Christine! There are so many words and her list is terrific! I believe mine for 2010 is ACTION!
Thanks for being a friend this year! Can't wait to see what you aspire to in 2010!
XO Rebecca
Hey Rebecca!
Great, I'm glad you like Christine's writings. I'm looking forward to seeing what your "ACTION" word will bring for you! Rock on!
Kathleen
I enjoy Christine's writing, very insightful. I chose a new word for this year, thanks to you. It is 'What'. I think that will lead me to some interesting experiences! Happy New Year!
Hi Lynda!
That is a very cool word you have chosen. You are an amazing artist and woman. I look forward to seeing the new work you create in 2010. Happy New Year to you!
Thanks for another great post Kathleen. I jumped over to Christine's site and I've definitely got to do some reading there. In the last couple of months, I've had a phrase in my head that has been encouraging me and making me think. It has been "all that I am" (which consequently is my new business name. I often find myself thinking about that phrase - it's come to remind me to include and honor all of me, even those parts of me that I choose to ignore, deny or criticize. It's a wonderful phrase to have. Now I'll have to go think about a word as well:)
I've loved meeting you and getting to know you!
Hi Shay,
You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed this post and you've had a chance to visit Christine's blog too. She's amazing.
I love the name of your business and the phrase. Excellent.
I know you are heading for great things in 2010.
