Window To Another World

I call this Window to Another World. There are some really nice transparent Bullseye cranberry and teal glasses that I used as complements to the streakies. I also added clear strips in the construction. The cranberry solid glass section is the 'window' part of this piece.

This is one of my entries for the Palmer Lake Art Group, Spring Fine Art Show that starts on June 2nd. Messier 83 will also be in that show and I'll post a picture of that one soon.

I really like these thick bowls and will always be grateful to Patty Gray for teaching this technique in her class last fall.

Another great one, Kathleen. I too would like to thank Patty Gray for teaching you this technique. The world would be missing out otherwise. -Don

A lovely piece, Kathleen! I can't quite make out the colors from the photo, but from your description its a great color choice. I like the use of clear to break it up and add interest. Thanks for the visit and comment today. Isn't Linda great?!

Yes beautiful! The thick glass has such 'presence'.

(p.s. My mother-in-law was out to visit and I got to see your purple earrings she has and they're gorgeous!! They have bling and sparkle in all the right places. )
