How My Garden Grows

The finishing touches are complete on this piece and it is ready to head to Coyote Creek. I feel like this has been one of those break through pieces for me. I experimented and it has shown me new aspects about what I can create. It has given me more ideas for enhancing this type of construction. I'm ready to try out these ideas on another piece. However, I won't be able to start on the new ideas til Sunday because I am still packing things up, completing the inventory lists, etc. All good stuff!

I also wanted to share one of the edge views. There is just so much going on in the piece and I love the look and feel.

It looks like a bit of an abstract, fantasy garden, so I've called this one "How My Garden Grows"

Very masculine in its sensibilities, but feminine in its movement. A very nice piece, no wonder you're proud!

Love the title! It starts out looking modern with the angled stripes but then with the look of old lace edges, it gives it another dimension!

Hi Holly!

Nice of you to stop by again and thanks for your comments. I feel like this piece is demonstrating more growth in my work.

Hi Sheila!
Thank you...I struggle with titles, but this just looks so organic to me and it started to remind me of how things emerge in the spring. I love the edges too...hope to incorporate more of that in my future works.

Hey Elizabeth....so glad you like it! Thanks.

If this is a breakthrough piece, I can't wait to see where it leads, because I find it exciting!! as well as beautiful. It does feel different, somehow...

Hey Rebecca --- I used glass frit for the edges and in the fusing process...it took on a 'life' of its own. It's given me a new impetus.

Thanks Karen. I feel like this piece has shown me many things...one is where I can start to expand what I create with glass. I'm anxious to try to push things because I have these 'visions' in my mind's eye of where I want to go with this.
